HOK has played a key role in Rogers' business and cultural transformation by partnering with Outsource Client Solutions (OCS) to develop a comprehensive Workplace Transformation program aligned with their integrated business vision. The activity-based workplace program aims to make Rogers the best place to work in Canada, enhancing employee engagement and supporting Rogers’ success in the marketplace. Central to this transformation is the adoption of a 100% unassigned seating model, empowering employees with the flexibility to choose their workspace and collaborate more effectively. 

The program features a universal "Kit of Parts," emphasizing choice, collaboration, and multi-functionality across a variety of spaces, from individual workstations to large, open areas. HOK has successfully implemented over two million square feet of renovated space across Rogers' portfolio, including offices in Toronto, Brampton, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver. The design accommodates varying floorplates—from 8,000 to 1 million square feet—while ensuring consistency in planning and design standards. 

At Rogers' Brampton location, the shift from traditional, siloed working environments to an activity-based, flexible workspace was central to breaking down organizational hierarchies and fostering trust and collaboration. The office integrates diverse work settings, from quiet areas for individual tasks to social spaces encouraging impromptu collaboration. Technology is integrated throughout, supporting a range of activities from brainstorming sessions to video conferencing. 

In Montreal, HOK revitalized Rogers’ headquarters by prioritizing employee wellness and flexibility. Natural light was maximized through window upgrades, and ergonomic workstations and sit-to-stand desks were added. The office also reflects Montreal's unique culture with custom graphics inspired by local landmarks, fostering a sense of community and connection. The overall design strategy has resulted in inspiring, productive workplaces that enhance employee satisfaction and collaboration.
